Dental Timetable

Children´s teeth begin forming before birth. As early as 4 months, the first primary, or baby teeth, erupt through the gums. All 20 of the primary teeth usually appear by age 3. The primary teeth are replaced by 32 permanent teeth. The first 28 generally erupt between 6 and 13 years, the final 4 third molars, or "wisdom teeth" may erupt between 16-21 years.
